Credit Recovery

In the events that a student fails a course, there are couple of options available to make-up those missed credits the following school year:

1.  EDGENUITY (Online Course Recovery)

The online credit recovery program at SPA utilizes the Edgenuity online learning management system. Students may complete the majority of the coursework on their own time, utilizing personal computers, or on campus before school, during lunch, or a designated Credit Recovery time. Students must report their progress to the Credit Recovery Advisor at least once per week. Students are required to complete Unit Tests and Cumulative Final Exams in the presence of a certificated Credit Recovery instructor during the designated Credit Recovery time. To determine if this is a good option for your student, contact your counselor.

2. College Courses (Concurrent/Dual Enrollment)

Students have the option to take a college course in the summer or throughout the school year as agreed upon by student, parent, and a school administrator to make-up any missed credits. Student will need to enroll in the community college of their choice on their own. See Concurrent Enrollment page for more details.

Both of these options are determined only after an official meeting with a school administrator or academic counselor takes place.
